February – November: Community markets
There’s something for everyone at the Gresford Community Markets. Delicious local olives and olive oil, natural household, health and beauty products, sports memorabilia, locally grown plants and produce, a wide range of clothing, cake stalls, paintings, jewellery, art cards, bags, handicrafts, expertly crafted wooden goods, and bric-a-brac.
January – Australia Day luncheon
Gresford community members’ contributions are acknowledged at this bi-annual luncheon.
March – East Gresford Show
Horse and cattle exhibits, open and novice post splitting competition, Oakdale Farm animal nursery, KAOS FMX Bike Team and camp draft.
The competition is often fierce and sometimes farce as the inventiveness of the cart designers is put to the test. Drivers can be as young as eight or as old as Grandad. Some race for the fun and some
for the trophies.
August – East Gresford Campdraft and Rodeo
Rodeo is made up a wide range of events that test competitors in every way, so come and experience the fast moving action and skill of a professional rodeo competition at the Gresford Campdraft and Rodeo.
October – Landcare Annual field day and dinner by the Gresford District Landcare Group.
December – GAPS carols, Gresford Amateur Performing Society sing carols.
